    About Us
    Who Are You Guys?
DFW.pm is the Dallas/Fort Worth Perl user group. If you don't know what Perl Mongers is all about, visit www.perl.org to learn more.

Perl Mongers is social and educational organization of Perl fanatics. Check out our regular members.

    What's it All About?
We get together on the fourth Tuesday of every month. Somebody gives a technical presentation on Perl or a related topic. Sometimes it's one of our members, and sometimes it's a guest speaker. And then it's off to a local bar and grill where we talk about Perl and programming and computers and all that stuff that makes your SO's eyes glaze over.

    How Do I Join?
As you've probably determined by now, Perl Mongers is an extremely informal group. There are no dues, and there is no official membership list. Anybody is welcome at a meeting.

The closest you can come to joining is to subscribe to our mailing list. All meeting announcements go to the mailing list, and technical discussions and job postings occasionally crop up there as well. To subscribe to the mailing list, send a message to majordomo@list.ti.com with the following in the BODY of the mail:

    subscribe dfw-pm
Be sure to put that in the BODY of the mail, as the title is ignored.

    Who's In Charge Here?
Ok, you caught us. We do have officers. Somebody has to call the meetings, after all.

Colin Jitlal is our illustrious President, and I, Nicholas Perez, am his loyal and longsuffering Vice President. Our primary purpose is to call meetings and keep the web site and mailing list working. So, if you notice that the web site or the mailing list have stopped working, drop us both a line.

I think that about covers it. If not, feel free to drop Colin or me a line. Preferably both, in case one of us is unavailable. We're pretty much interchangeable.

See you at the next meeting!
